Cairo Dock 是一个与 AWN 、Docky 等类似的 Dock 类软件，可以帮助你快速开启程序及提供更多丰富的额外功能，另外也是桌面美化的一个利器。
现在最新的 Cairo Dock 2.3.0 稳定版已正式发布 [官方通告]，增加了一些新功能：
- 新增 "Recent Events" applet
- 新增 Transmission, Deluge, MintMenu, Translator, Quote of the day 等 Applet
- System-Monitor applet 可以监视 CPU 温度和风扇速度。
- 拖放分享 Applet 支持 Ubuntu One 及 Dropbox
- 更好的与 Compiz 和 Kwin 整合
- Stack applet 可以显示 Web 程序的 favicon 等等。

# Ubuntu 用户安装：支持 Ubuntu 11.04, 10.10 和 10.04
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cairo-dock

MintMenu 终于受到重视了 一直喜欢mint的菜单
不过现在 unity的菜单又不能定制了 无奈的哟
还是更加喜欢使用ubuntu一点 但是内心又比较希望 使用gnome3 纠结的自我

@xiaodang, 不知道98上面能不能装火狐，或者是上面的ie 5 能不能够上wowubuntu啊～～ 顺便再看看学校里面还有什么诡异的系统啊 mac os x倒是已经使用过了 貌似还有 redhat 9 有空看看～～

是，ubuntu基于cairo-dock做也要比自己搞什么unity好多了。尤其是什么全局菜单，真是差！

每次登录docky都说需要神马混合窗口管理器，我开了的啊，还是他妈提醒，换一个试试

虽然好看，效果也不错，但是用这个的时候，总有那么几次缩放窗口的时候，显卡驱动出错，然后就只能reisub了。
卸载了，现在木有问题了。

cairo dock是最好用的dock类软件，不明白为什么ubuntu不基于cairo-dock做unity，而是重新发明轮子

总感觉这种dock适用于方一点的屏幕，或者尺寸大一点的宽屏，笔记本不适合。

openbox的独立窗口管理器，chromium表示找不到程序菜单。

内存CPU占用不到1%，很占资源？
笔记本的话，现在都是16：9的宽屏，完全不错的！

cairo dock很优秀，漂亮流畅不占资源，把各种特效关了操作时cpu占用不超过5%,打开特效后不超过9%，笔记本p8400。
