首先，不要使用 Ubuntuzilla or the Mozilla Daily PPA，前者会对firefox打一些补丁，不允许上报firefox的bug，后者是你尝鲜firefox不错的途径，但是他永远追新，不会让你安稳的
ubuntu下安装firefox
1 firefox stable版本适用于9.10,10.04,10.10.当然，现在firefox4还未stable，所以此源中肯定没有firefox4
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
sudo apt-get update
当firefox4出来后，会自动更新到firefox4,当前前提是您系统中已经安装了firefox3之类的
2 firefox 不稳定版
提供ubuntu9.10,10.04,10.10下的firefoxalpha / beta / RC版本
这个源比the Mozilla Daily PPA好多了，因为他至提供alpha，beta，RC版本的，还是相对稳定的。现在你可以用这个源安装firefoxRC2
注意：此源会持续提供beta，rc，如果你正在使用firefox4 stable，但firefox5beta1出来了，用此源会让你安装firefox5beta1
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-next
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox-4.0
使用此源的最好方法是，在firefox4 stable没出来之前使用此ppa，等firefox4 stable出来之后，使用上边的ppa源，然后移除本ppa源

等 firefox4 等到我都已经转用 chrome 了，而且 linux 版的 firefox 显示效果不如 windows 版的，对于电脑里已经没有 windows 的用户来说，有种被漠视的感觉

只可惜ppa的速度太不给力。
firefox我都是从官网直接下载，然后解压使用的。
虽然没有使用包管理软件方便，但是对于像浏览器这种只要打开电脑就会开启的软件来说，这样相对而言要灵活一些。
当然这里chrome党居多。。。

肯定要装一个备用的，但是主力还是Chromium

@Rabbit_52, 其实我在Win下一直追Chromium来着，但是Fedora不能用从nightly build那里下载的包，所以只好用一个人打包的Chromium。这个打包版的UserAgent写的就是Chrome……

今天白天在windows下玩了一下firefox 4， 感觉不错。 速度果然快了很多。

不错，ubuntu下的也升级了。 感觉linux下的firefox比windows下的还好。 Menu button 和 tabs在一个水平线上。 这样更节省了垂直空间。
速度也很快。
